Responsibilities |
- Should have hands on experience of around 3 to 6 years in maintenance department of assembly plant or manufacturing industries on below types of machines
- PLC based Special purpose machines
- Utilities like D.G. Sets, Air compressors, Cooling towers, Transformers, HT/LT switchgears
- Hydraulic & Mechanical presses.
- Material handling equipment’s & conveyors, Ovens & furnaces
- Preventive maintenance of all production machines
- Predictive maintenance of all production machines
- Break down maintenance of all production machines.
- Daily check points to be attended regularly & keep track of those to understand the abnormalities.
- Check the availability of consumables & ensure availability - required for production like all dispenser seals, cutters, ink jet printer consumables, paint booth chemicals, grease, oils etc. As per the daily check list as Production should not suffer for shortage of maintenance consumables.
- Maintaining machine spares as per machine manufacturer & based on past experience most likely wear out parts,
- Make proper entries of spares consumed & received (Spares stock) by updating records of daily consumed & receipt of spares.
- Do proper analysis for breakdown & give inputs to higher authority (C CA PA - for breakdown above 30min breakdown) by observing at gamba.
- Perform breakdown analysis & trouble shootings both electrical & mechanical by reading machine manufacture manuals.
- Breakdown maintenance of electrical control panels of machines by reading electrical circuit diagram or PLC program find out the problem & solve the electrical fault.
- Preventive maintenance of utility like air compressor, Power supply, DG set, UPS BB, water pumps, HVAC etc., Maintaining regular PM schedule as per machine manufacturer through AMC
- Update day to day documents maintenance and comply with requirements of EMS & IATF, legal along with evidence for all audits.
- Use of LOTO & PPE as per LOTO procedure sheet mentioned on machines

Knowledge Required |
- Safety requirements while attending any machine breakdown both for electrical or mechanical e.g., LOTO, PPM required while working on heights
- Importance of PM, necessary tools for PM, reading history sheet to link PM schedule.
- Use of predictive maintenance tools like vibration meters, stethoscope & machine parts functioning
- Machine wise consumable requirement as per manufacture recommendations, based on past experience, consumption rate
- Spares supplier list, lead time of spares, identification of critical & non-critical spares as per manufacturing recommendation & past experience
- Spares receipt & consumption registers.
- Identification of repetitive problem & analysis of the problem in 5W1H or 8D format
- Machine operation & its function
- Reading of electrical circuits & drawing + PLC program of any std make PLC
- Utility equipment’s list & its functions required for HSSL & element line & its distribution system
- Documents update like daily register of breakdowns, IATF, ISO 14001 etc.
- LOTO & PPE equipment, use of stacker for working at height above 4M etc.

Skills Required |
- Should have excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Should be able to execute preventive, predictive & shutdown maintenance programs of machines.
- Should be able to train & guide maintenance contract labors.
- Plan to complete PM schedule in stipulated time with proper tools & with available resource
- Identifying difference between normal & abnormal of say sound, vibration, surface temperature etc.
- Replacing or refilling of consumables in respective machines in stipulated time,
- Communication skills to get the correct part in min lead time at correct price, storage of spares in min available space,
- Identification of spares
- Solving problems in 8D format
