| Responsibilities |
- Quality Planning for New Product Development: Checking feasibility, planning new process, planning tooling.
- Daily Monitoring of Lost time / analysis
- Daily Monitoring of line rejection / analysis
- Giving inputs to engineering in Design Review , Setting APQP procedures
- Planning , Procurement, installation and commissioning of new equipment and machine
- Establishing the capability of the new processes for new products
- Ensuring the capacity of in-house manufacturing to meet market demands
- Supporting the procurement and replenishment of the JIG & FIXTURE.
- Releasing SOP, Specification sheet for each process on the line
- Releasing time standard for production - IE activity - VSM
- Development of process engineers to make them capable to handle CCPM project task , improvement activity independently
- Reviewing and Critically analyzing material flow during the processes and identification improvement scope to optimize it
- Reviewing material handling systems to identify improvement scope
- Reviewing line layout to identify non value added use of shop floor space, productivity improvement scope and scope of material flow improvement
- CCR review of manufacturing processes
- Review of existing processes to identify scope of productivity improvement, level one exploitation
- Review of actions decided for productivity improvement, line exploitation
- Review and update work instructions/SOP to ensure incorporations instructions related to human safety and product safety
- Capturing and recording(in change management record) any change in existing product design, Process, tooling, raw material source and Filling Manufacturing change request
- Validating and recording changes through procedure mentioned in MCR
- Implement changes in manufacturing process and recording impact of manufacturing change in product quality, productivity,
- Updating affected process documents i.e. PFD, FMEA,CP, PPAP file affected due to manufacturing change
- Updating shop floor documents i.e. SOP, WI affected due to manufacturing change
- Auditing lines to ensure availability of latest WI,SOP at all manufacturing processes
- Review of FMEA/CP to ensure that all critical/major characteristics are incorporated.
Review of FMEA/CP to check presence and effectiveness of monitoring mechanism for critical Characteristics - Conduct process capability study for in process characteristics as per plan and updation of process capability plan
- Review process capability study data for final product characteristics
- Identification of improvement actions if capability study shown out of control data.
- Planning process improvement projects based on following data -
COPQ/PPM/Quality Issues
CQC
VSM, Change Over/Set Up time
BPR and CCR Reviews
Productivity Improvement
with aim to improve process efficiency and effectiveness - Review and follow up actions of improvement project
- Develop people through regular reviews and PDs

- Awareness on manufacturing Processes of sheet metal work, Plastic moulding, tool manufacturing
- Expert knowledge on mass production, Assembly processes & line automation.
- Quality system-APQP, PPAP, FMEA,n SPC, MSA , 6Sigma,Kaizen
- Process design, feasibility of product manufacturing, machine and accessory selection.
- Tools & Fixture designing , Auto Cad, workstation design, workshop technology processes.
- Understand layouts, flow, types, takt time, cycle Time & motion study, information flow,
line balancing, Understand value stream mapping - Understand lean manufacturing with scale-up/down possibilities.
